Overview

The Salesforce Systems Developer we need is a self-starter with excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.  This position is responsible for developing and maintaining SFDC business applications, custom Force.com applications along with integration solutions to meet complex application challenges utilizing Jitterbit (Middleware).

 

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the full development lifecycle from design to implementation by setting expectations, coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings as well as troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
  • Design and develop Force.com applications using Apex Code, Visualforce, Lightning and native Force.com platform features.
  • Implement technical specifications and complex business initiatives into a Force.com application including Apex, Visualforce and Lightning, managing Production and multiple Sandbox environments.
  • Integrates applications by designing database architecture and server scripting; studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers.
  • Coordinate with software providers and end users, gather business requirements, define site objectives, envision system features and functionality.
  • Recommends system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.
  • Supports users by developing documentation, assistance tools and providing comprehensive training.
  • Interact with SFDC administrators and other SFDC developers to design application modules using object-oriented design methods.
  • Updates job knowledge by researching new internet/intranet technologies and software products, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
  • Participate in full development cycle through creation of user stories and designs, development of unit and integration test plans and code-reviews to meet SFDC test class requirements for code coverage.
  • Understands SFDC configuration and technical features and capabilities, keeping up with new features and functionality released by SFDC in its periodic release.
  • Streamline system functionality standards such as naming conventions, etc along with identifying data integrity and third party integration related issues. Understand the system development lifecycle and follow development, source control and migration standards.
  • Lead project teams as required to implement appropriate solutions applicable to Force.com applications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ year’s professional Salesforce application development experience.
  • Strong understanding of developing applications on the Force.com platform.
  • Extensive experience in SFDC specific technology: Apex (Asynchronous – Batch, Future, Queable, Schedulable), Visualforce, SOQL/Triggers, etc. Lightning framework a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and building integration between SFDC and third party applications using middleware such as Jitterbit, Informatica, Apps Connect, etc.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, data modeling, db schema is required 
  • Good working knowledge of HTML, CSS, javascript, jQuery, JSON, AJAX and SQL.
  • Certification in the following Salesforce Credentials: Administrator (Recommended), Developer 401 (Required) and Developer 501 (Preferred)
  • Ability and willingness to wear multiple hats in a given role such as project management, hands-on software design, development and review.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to investigate problems and to develop/execute appropriate solutions. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write technical documentation
  • Experience with Salesforce.com CRM including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Customer Support is a plus, CPG industry experience is preferred.
  • Expert skills with SQL Server database objects, data migration and data management activities.
  • Hands on experience in troubleshooting user level Techno-functional issues, enhancements and overall support of a post-implementation.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MBA and/or advanced degree in Computer Science
