As an HR Business Partner (HRBP), you will serve as a consultant and partner to both senior leaders and functional teams in a dynamic and growing wine and spirits distributor.  You will engage and support your client groups in all aspects of employee and labor relations, talent acquisition, and training/organizational development.  You will collaborate with our Shared Services team, subject matter experts, and other HRBP’s to create and deliver solutions to complex issues involving conduct and performance, talent management, CBA administration, compliance, and other employment related matters.  Will support multiple locations with day travel required.




  • Works with the HR Leadership and assigned business unit(s) leaders to develop and deploy all aspects of effective workforce planning, talent pipeline requirements, compensation and benefits, employee development, and talent acquisition to meet business unit talent needs.
  • Communicates, and consults on the needs of the business unit related to major HR functions (compensation, talent acquisition, learning and organizational development, employee relations, and other strategic programs).
  • Collaborates with HR leadership, peers, and Business Unit Leaders to implement solutions. Conducts follow-up with business leaders to ensure solutions are sustainable.
  • Consults with business leaders to identify gaps in existing HR policies and programs; contributes to the development of new/amended HR policies and procedures, and facilitates delivery.
  • Provides counsel to managers on implementing pay for performance decisions during annual performance management, employee development and compensation review processes.
  • Ensures positive employee relations with business leaders, proactively diagnoses employee relations/team issues and develops recommendations and action plans.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, conducts objective and thorough investigations.
  • Develops and maintains effective rapport and relationships with union business agents and shop stewards as assigned.
  • Maintains current in-depth knowledge of best practices and the legal environment to reduce employment risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and qualifications will be required and assigned as necessary.



  • BA/BS with a concentration in Business, Organizational Leadership and/or Human Resources.
  • 3 to 5 or more years of experience in an HR Generalist role, PHR/SPHR preferred.
  • Established experience in providing hands-on HR support for a functionally diverse employee population.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise tact and diplomacy and the ability to communicate persuasively.
