The House Account Specialist position requires a strong knowledge of wine, in addition to a thorough understanding of both “brick and mortar” retailers, and “on-line retailers”.


  • Responsible for increasing volume, market share and revenue in Northern California’s top retail accounts.
  • Headquarter calls, managing accounts payable, and creating account plans.

Working with multiple sales personnel and suppliers to achieve maximum results.


  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in the wine industry is required.
  • Wine Certification such as CSW, Level 1 or 2 (Master Court of Sommeliers) or WSET is preferred.
  • Minimum of a 4 year degree is required.
  • Perform at an intermediate level with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Candidate must be both wine and computer proficient in on-line marketing and sales, including Winesearcher, as well as a deep understanding of the National retail market.
  • The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing a book of business and being held accountable for achieving performance goals.
  • Thorough understanding of supplier standards and distributor initiatives.
  • Able to analyze data and track accordingly.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS – (These are required to perform the key responsibilities of the job with or without accommodations)

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Must be able to walk, stand, climb, balance, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl on a daily basis
  • Must be able to drive a reliable vehicle from account to account
