  • Overview


    Cashier is required to possess good knowledge of processing payments in terms of cash and checks and have excellent customer service skills. 



    • Reconcile drivers route bags daily; verify invoices/payments and signatures daily.
    • Process checks and cash payments
    • Prepare accounting reports and perform other light bookkeeping activities
    • Manage receipts and invoices
    • Generate cash and transaction reports
    • Complete driver write-up forms for short payments
    • Generate will call list. Verify payment and follow up with late/short payments.
    • Review “dirty invoices” and credits associated with invoice
    • Customer specific discrepancies. Verify pricing adjustments and identify credits owed.


    EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents (such as general business periodicals, safety rules, and procedure manuals), and write routine reports and correspondence. 


    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as calculate figures and amounts.  This position also requires the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.


    REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished (in written, oral, or diagram form) and to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  



    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Ability to work with management and customers throughout the business and industry at every level

     Physical Requirements: (These are required to perform the key responsibilities of the job with or without reasonable accommodations).

    • Ability to sit, type, speak and answer phones for up to 8 hours a day.
    • Ability to read, write, interpret invoices and calculate basic math.
    • Ability to work in an office environment, in close proximity with others and get along with others.
    • Ability to take direction from others, follow instructions, procedures and basic rules.
