To provide reliable and courteous delivery service to customers with safety a top priority; to provide a communication link between customers and operations management; to operate and maintain assigned vehicle(s); and to maintain vehicle and customer records.
Qualified candidates must be able to frequently lift cases weighing 50-75 pounds, working in 10-12 hour shift increments. This position requires the constant and repetitive sorting, stacking, loading and unloading of cases.
The candidates must call to inquire if work is available. Hours are Tues-Friday, approx 6:30a-4:30p. Candidates must join Teamsters Local upon hire, and pay all required initiation & monthly fees to the union.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must Possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License. Class A License optional, and not required.
This position will require the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. This position will also require the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. This position will further require the ability to speak effectively before groups customer, managers or employees of the organization
This position will require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. This position will also require the ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs
This position will require the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. This position will also require the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
