  • Overview

    Generate sales while covering open routes for current General Market Sales Representatives and provide high level of customer service for existing accounts in assigned territory.

    Responsibilities

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Adhere to scheduled account list and utilize company planner to ensure sales and high level of customer service is executed in assigned accounts.
    • Organize and plan account visits in partnership with District Manager to include issues, solutions and opportunities for specific sales.
    • Partner with assigned District Manager to gain knowledge of assigned accounts business operations for selling the company’s products to each.
    • Leverage knowledge of the company’s products features and benefits to overcome objections the accounts may present, offering multiple options and solutions to meet customer needs.
    • In collaboration with assigned District Manager prepare professional sales presentations for assigned accounts around specific product offerings and adjust content and style when necessary to meet the needs of the customer.
    • Follow routing pattern that ensures assigned accounts are effectively serviced and merchandised as needed.
    • Ability to quickly develop an effective partnership with accounts by actively listening & questioning business opportunities.

    Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION:

    One to two years of sales experience in the beverage alcohol industry preferred; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

     

    COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Sales Representatives are expected to serve as information resources for, and conduits between, the field and the company’s management by:

    • Communicating issues, opportunities and market intelligence with appropriate management through written, electronic and verbal means.

     

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

     

    REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

     

    SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

     

    Sales Tasks & Activities: Knowledge of processes, tools, techniques and theory behind selling the organization’s products or services.

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS – (These are required to perform the key responsibilities of the job with or without accommodations)

    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
    • Must be able to walk, stand, climb, balance, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl on a daily basis
    • Must be able to drive a reliable vehicle from account to account.
