    POSITION TITLE: Specialist Planning & Segmentation




    The Specialist Planning & Segmentation is a highly visible role supporting the EVP GM for California and the SVP, Comercial Operations with business reviews, special projects and overall analystical support.   This role is responsible for gathering pertinent data and information from various sources, interpreting it to create usable business insights and presenting those insights in a comprehensible and impactful way to multiple levels of end users both inside and outside the organization with moderate supervision and oversight.




    • Provide support for business reviews by generatinge and interpreting reports and developing recommendations to the business which will be useful in developing a business strategy.   
    • Manage reports, analyses & dashboards, (all aspects from content, configuration, delivery, insights, and recommendations).
    • Analyze data from sources such as Nielsen, Diver, TM1, NABCA and Oracle in order to provide accurate data to business.
    • Prepare reports, charts, graphs and/or Power Point Presentations based on data analytics with supporting commentary.
    • Present data when requested via powerpoint or other format.
    • Solve business requests with accurate and creative solutions involving data from multiple sources.
    • Track programs for special projects that do not fall under normal tracking processes.
    • Special Projects such as informational decks for WSWA, NEW, meetings with ownership, etc.
    • Data entry into Oracle, Demantra or other internal data systems.
    • Ensure data QC, cross referencing, and cleansing.




    • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university in a business related field is required.
    • At least one year of experience as a Business Analyst is required
    • Experience reporting in a CPG or B2B environment preferred
    • Experience as a salesperson in the wine & spirits industry is preferred


    • Highly proficient in Excel - Including familiarity with formulas such as COUNTIF and VLOOKUP.
    • Ability to import and export data to Excel and other outside data sources, experienced in Pivot Tables.
    • Highly proficient in Powerpoint.
    • Proficient with Diver usage (SQL cubes usage a plus).
    • Oracle proficiency preferred.
    • Familiarity with Demantra is preferred.
    • Ability to pull data from BI Nielsen and Forecasting tools is required.
    • Time management skills and prioritization of workload is required.
    • Ability to collaborate with people at multiple levels in the organization.
    • Presentation skills are required.  This position will present in various formats on a regular basis.  
    • Ability to work more than 8 hours a day and more than 40 hours a week, when required.
    • The person in this position must be able to travel when required.
    • The person in this position must be able to remain calm under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor.
    • The person in this position must work out of the Tustin HQ office location unless specific permission is granted on an intermittent basis.
