The Manager, Operational Excellence will implement process, initiatives to enhance cross-functional integration, help create a continuous improvement culture over the selected region and oversee Inventory Control. This position will lead business process improvements through the implementation of strategic initiatives supporting Young’s Market Co.’s Operations team. The position provides leadership on the full range of business, financial, technical and process improvement projects throughout Young’s Market Co. This includes focus on creating a work environment that engages employees at all levels in the business to help drive out waste, improve quality and simplify processes in an effort to continually reduce the total cost. Plays major role in developing the operations Annual and Strategic Plan by providing direct analysis and insight.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: BS Degree in Engineering, Finance or Business required, MBA or MS strongly preferred
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. This position requires the ability to write reports, and procedure manuals. This position also requires the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees and outside contractors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: This position requires the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals. This position requires the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: This position requires the ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. This position further requires the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
