    POSITION TITLE: HQ Chains Business Analyst

     

    GENERAL SUMMARY

    This Business Analyst role for HQ Chains, primarily Walmart, will support the planning & analysis of sales and sales initiatives via Salesforce. The Business Analyst will be responsible for reporting on identified business critical reports ensuring timely & accurate delivery, providing thoughtful analysis and business insights. The role requires heavy Excel use and expertise, the ability to understand data and systems, and the ability to produce a polished and professional presentation. 

    Responsibilities

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage reports, analyses & dashboards, (all aspects from content, configuration, delivery, insights, and recommendations).
    • Be a business / thought partner to key leadership and proactively support their efforts.
    • Analyze data from sources such as Nielsen/IRI, Diver, Accounting, and Walmart Retail Link to provide accurate data to business.
    • Support Walmart replenishment process for YMCO warehouse and centralized replenishment states
    • Utilize Retail Link to identify and track progress against key metrics (fill rate, OOS, etc.)
    • Facilitate weekly conference call with Walmart HQ team
    • Build and maintain databases to provide team with following key reporting functions

    • Weekly sales reports
    • Scorecards – key brands / suppliers
    • Promotional trackers
    • Master store / UPC lists
    • Planogram distribution
    • Auto populating sell sheets
    • Prepare reports, charts, graphs and/or Power Point Presentations based on data analytics.
    • Ensure data QC, cross referencing, and cleansing.

    Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: 

    • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university in a business-related field preferred.
    • At least two years of experience as an Analyst is required.
    • Wine & Spirits industry highly preferred.
    • Prior retail merchandising experience is highly preferred.

    COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. This role also requires the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. This position requires the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

     

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: This role requires the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. This position also requires the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

     

    REASONING ABILITY: This position requires the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. This role further requires the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

     

    SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    • Must have moderate to advanced Excel skills/knowledge. Must be proficient at pivot tables, power pivot, Macros, VLOOKUP.
    • Ability to import and export data to Excel and other outside data sources.
    • Prior experience using syndicated data, (IRI, ACNielsen) is preferred.

    • Prior experience using Walmart Retail Link is preferred.

    • ProSpace or related space management software preferred
    • Proficient in Windows environment and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) environment.
    • Proficient in Diver and Oracle environments.
    • Ability to work and communicate with management, colleagues and customers throughout the business and industry at every level.
    • Knowledge of and ability to utilize customer profile and information.
    • Ability to coordinate multiple and diverse options for selling organization's products and services.
    • Ability to manage, implement and innovate business solutions
    • Ability to foresee potential obstacles and independently problem solve
